The Eyes and The Nails

So you have chosen the designed contact lenses you want to wear, what now? Even though your eyes are far away from your nails, people will look at you as a whole package – your fingernails included.

It goes without saying that all girls should always have trimmed and proper nails. Do not bite! This will give out a crooked look that is always a “no-no” for all the ladies.

Balance is the answer

1. Au Naturale

Choosing to wear shockingly designed lenses, like the Halloween lenses collection, require your other parts of the body to look natural. However, you still want to look glammed up.

Try the French Manicure – colorless base with a white tip. Colored tips with a beige base are also okay. Just make sure not to overdo it since you already have a loud pair of eyes.

2. Fancy Hues

This year’s spring trends for nail polish are either pastel or bright colors. These colors will go great together with any contact lenses you wish to wear. But remember to balance. You cannot go all out in both aspects. One layer of color would be fine to be on the safe side.

According to some fashion experts, the French Manicure this year will also cover other colors. Use a colored base with a colored tip, like a near-to-neon pink base and a dark red tip.

Another trend is the crackled nails. There are crackling nail polish that actually cracks seconds upon applying. You can use any color as base and a complimenting color as the crackle.

3. Glitter Party

The Glow Lenses are fit for a night out, and so are glittered nails. You can’t party all out if you don’t feel pretty up to the tips of your hands. Since it will be dark, your UV-illuminated eyes will light up and your glittered nails will shine – a star of the night indeed.

There are a lot of different glitter designs, from small dots to big star or heart shapes. The usual base in a bottle of glittered polish is colorless, while some are light pink. Apply colored tips if it suits you.

4. Custom Nail Art

If you are using the ordinary colored contact lenses like the Toric or Circle Lenses, go all-out with your nails. There are a lot of nail art ideas in the Internet, and you can do them by yourselves!

There are numerous designs available to your liking – cupcakes, musical notes, checkered boards, and cartoon characters among others. You can even go for your own designs. However, steady hands are a must. Keep practicing and you will eventually perfect it.

Never partner nail arts with Halloween lenses (except for Halloween Day itself) as you would not want to look like a Christmas tree with different colors hung on you.

Have fun and be creative!
